Founded in 2008, we began our journey in the residential real estate construction business with home renovations, expanding our services to include custom infills, excavations, garage suites and commercial projects soon after with our sub-companies each focussed intently on their respective niche.

Tops Excavations has long served the Calgary Metropolitan Area as one of the most knowledgeable and experienced residential/commercial excavation contractors. Focussed on inner city projects, we’ve performed hundreds of excavations for everything from new infills to strip malls to townhomes and everything in between. Today, Tops Excavation is a go-to excavator for many home builders throughout Calgary, with a focus on the City Centre district.
Garage Suites is a relatively new sub-company of Gold Homes, focussing on backyard suite construction all over Calgary. Applying our experience from many successfully completed infill builds with garage suites over the years, we have taken our know-how on everything from design and permitting to utilities and construction for backyard suites to the next level with the introduction of Garage Suites Ltd. in early 2021. Today, we have over two dozen backyard suite projects in some phase of development.
